Woodworth Dam Replacement Project

Prince Rupert, BC
Client: City of Prince Rupert

Located 6.5 km north of Prince Rupert, between Woodworth Lake and the Shawatlan River, the Woodworth Dam Replacement Project marks a significant upgrade to the region’s water infrastructure—replacing a century-old dam and connecting it to the City’s existing raw water transmission line, completed in 2017.

L&M Engineering Limited played a key role in the successful delivery of this vital project. Our team provided comprehensive construction administration, owner’s representation, and quality assurance survey services on behalf of the City of Prince Rupert. In addition, we completed both the conceptual and detailed design for critical access road improvements, which included the construction of a gravity retaining wall and upgrades along a 2-kilometre stretch of road leading to the dam site.

Working closely with the City and project stakeholders, L&M Engineering assembled a skilled and dedicated team that delivered exceptional service, maintained project timelines, and ensured the work met all regulatory requirements. The result: modern, resilient infrastructure that supports Prince Rupert’s long-term water security.
