Due to the broad range of planning experience within the L&M Planning Centre, the team frequently provides on-call municipal consulting services on behalf of smaller municipalities that do not maintain a dedicated planning department. This responsibility is handled with care to ensure that the recommendations provided by the Planning Centre are in the best interest of the municipality for which they are intended to benefit. Further, the recommendations are all-encompassing and take into consideration the public interest, financial implications, long-term consequences and benefits, environmental impacts, and demands on both existing and future infrastructure that may result from the application. The Planning Centre team prides itself on remaining readily available to provide on-call municipal consulting services and recommendations at the municipality’s convenience on a wide range of municipal planning topics including but not limited to:

• Development application reviews
• Review of municipal policies and objectives
• Ongoing reviews of emerging trends in search of innovative alternatives for development
• Peer review of similar municipalities to promote best practices
• Updates to mapping and municipal application forms
• Consolidation of Amendment Bylaws
• Public engagement facilitation
